Wapsi Square is a great comic I discovered over at Aaron A‘s site.
The was the still life I worked on in the fourth and fifth art classes at Callanwolde. This time, I had a more difficult perspective to work with as well as different colors and textures on the objects. It was more challenging than the last, but worth the effort. I’ll post the illustration later after it’s scanned.
There was some bad stuff that happened years ago that stopped me from doing art. What kept me from doing it for so long though, was the habit of not doing art. I’m being reminded by this class that art can be a gradual process. First to do it on a regular basis, then to do better each time.
I did this back in 1993 when I was going to the Southeastern Center for the Arts for graphic design. Unfortunately, the original was lost when my portfolio was stolen graduation night. The good news is that there was a color copy of it that I was able to get back from a company I applied to for a job.
