Fun fact about Christmas lights: They are a once a year decoration, despite what the people on the other block (that used a nail gun to put their lights up) think.
In the UK there is a tradition that states if you leave any christmas decorations up beyond the 12th day of christmas (5th of january) you have to leave them up all year or else it is bad luck to take them down.
