Be nice to your TSA people. They work long hours, deal with hundreds of people and could use a break. If you don’t want to do it for that reason, do it because you don’t want something like THIS to happen to you!

APE, the Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco, CA is this weekend! We hated to do that to Larry, but sometimes you have to take the llama by the ears in order to handle a situation.

The first panel is a little shout out to some friends that will be there too. If you haven’t checked out Little Vampires and Monster Commute yet, you should!

Occasionally, life can get kinda hairy. Sometimes it’s big stuff, sometimes it’s small stuff. Oddly, I’ve noticed the really big stuff (death, disaster, etc.) can almost be easier the deal with. After all, when the big stuff hits, you expect a major disruption and you’re usually too busy dealing with it to care about anything else. With the small stuff however, life is supposed to continue on and you have plenty of time to think about it. Then, when the small stuff multiplies, you still don’t think there should be any disruption to life. There might be dozens of small things you need to mind running through your head like a heard of satanic gnomes and you don’t understand why things aren’t working. I mean, it’s just small stuff, right?

Anyway, I’m working on getting things on track. There can always be rough spots in life and usually you just need to ride them out until things calm down. Like now.

The day started off just before midnight last night when my computer smelled of ozone and made a really big zappy noise. After picking myself up off the floor and thinking about the problem, we have decided that it was my old Apple CRT that was the zappy piece of equipment in question. That is why I’m currently using my little 12″ Cintiq tablet as my main display. It may not be large, but at least it doesn’t spark.

As for the rest of the day…well, I know I had a ‘to do’ list, I just never got to it. The computers at work seem to be in open revolt and this isn’t too good since I’m the IT Manager (I prefer BOFH) and all. I’ve got to get these little bugger sorted out before the trip next weekend for APE…and since one of the Mac minis is asking for Sarah Conner, I think I have my work cut out for me.

Long story short, the comic is delayed and I will do my best to finish it between all my other obligations. Good night, and in my case, good luck.

Yes, we had rain, lots of rain. The last time we had this kind of rain was 5 years ago when hurricane Ivan came roaring through. This time oddly enough, there was not hurricane involved. It was just one of those ‘perfect storm’ sort of systems they talk about. It just kept sucking up water from the Gulf of Mexico and dumping it on us as it sat parked over this section of the country for over a week.

I wonder how that happened…
