Today is 10th Anniversary of Free Comic Book Day! In participating comic shops all around the World, you will be able to walk in and get FREE comic books! Many of these shops are also hosting special events in celebration of today, so go find a comic shop near you and go! If you don’t know where one is, the FCBD website has a form that you can type your location into and find the ones near you.

As you may know, to celebrate the ten year anniversary of Courtney Crumrin, Oni Press is releasing a new ongoing Courtney series, written and drawn by Yours Truly, as well as color hardcover editions of the  entire series. They are in stores as of this last Wednesday, or else available online at the Oni Press store. If you’ve ever been interested in Courtney Crumrin, now is the time to jump on!

While you may not have noticed it, there have been some updates here on the site. Mostly its been behind the scenes sort of stuff, but one change you will notice is the new header graphic! Also in Think Weasel! news, the work on the next Collection continues and we expect to have a release date for you soon.

Work also continues on The Awkward Ninja Squad! The first storyline is written and hammering out the comic layout is going to happen this week.

Sorry about the lack of updates recently. We’ve been discussing the direction of Think Weasel! (and our other projects) and decided to make some changes. Stay tuned for updates as to what is coming up next!

Here is a bit from Drink and Draw last night. The goal is to draw as much as possible, as much as my schedule allows.

Drink and Draw is figure drawing with live models in amazing cosplay outfits from your favorite comic books and movies. There are timed sketches with trivia questions and prizes in between. Come on down and hang with some of the greatest amateur and professional artists from all over Atlanta. Beer and food specials run all night long.

“Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.”

There are so many proverbs that speak of that both ways. Funny thing about life, with as complicated as it is, both ways apply once in a while.

This originally started as a journal comic and went to more silly over time. Recently, I’ve felt the need to swing it from less comedy to more journal-ey. The details are changed, but the basic ideas are there. Don’t worry funny will come back around soon enough!

Naturally, Dave Kellet did it better, but I felt like giving it a shot. I’ve been thinking about this sketch since the rains that passed through last week.

Change is always a constant and that includes this comic. I’m going to try this format out for a while and see how well it fits. There will still be funny, but there be some slightly more serious bits too. After all, isn’t life a little like that?

The average weasel (person) spends 2-3 years of their life waiting in lines, according to a study by MIT Professor Richard Larson. You find out more over at his site, Waiting in Line Sucks.

It makes me thing of how much total time in our lives do we spend doing other things? How much time sitting in traffic, or watching TV? I’m sure the information is out there, just waiting to be looked up.

One thing you won’t have to wait for is new comics.
